This is a detail showing the spoon cutout on the flip-tops at left and below left. This seems to be peculiar to Buffalo.

Has two hinges, rather than the typical piano-style hinge. It has the one broad "red" stripe; the two pinstripes are metallic gold.
Backstamp:

As if the crazing weren't a giveaway, this backstamp by "Buffalo Pottery" indicates a non-vitrified ware, probably manufactured between 1901 and 1915.

This one is dated 1927; the backstamp was too light to photograph. It has the one broad "red" stripe; the two pinstripes are metallic gold.
It has the solid piano-type hinge, although the hinge is set farther back from center than most other flip-tops. Its other unusual feature is a "keyhole" slot for spoon:

 

The backstamp at left shows the same bowl but in a smaller size -- 4 1/2" wide. Presumably the 1919 refers to the bowl's date of manufacture.

This is the big-daddy version of one on the soda fountain page. It also has a metal insert that hangs inside, separating the bowl into two compartments.
It has been identified as a cheese and cracker bowl, intended for use on buffet tables.

This is the same size as the one above, but may have been made earlier because it is marked semi-vitrified.
