Syracuse China was in business in Syracuse, N.Y., from 1871 to 2009.

This is the only Syracuse piece I've seen with a flip-top lid (made by CHAMCO). It is the smaller size: 4 3/8" wide.

This backstamp with O.P.CO. SYRACUSE CHINA – without an additional date code – was in use from 1897 to 1946, so it is impossible to assign a decade of use.
